On February 26, 2025, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. provided ₱5,000 in financial assistance to local student Alden James Valerio, who is set to represent the city at the Southeast Asia Computer Science Olympiad (SEACSO) in South Korea. This support is intended to assist Valerio as he travels to Incheon for the final round of the prestigious competition.
Alden James Valerio, a bright young talent from Angeles City, earned his spot in the international stage after securing a silver award in the national qualifiers of SEACSO.
