In a ceremony led by Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, newly elected officers of the Angeles City Lupon Tagapamayapa Federation (ACLTF) officially took their oath of office. The event marked a renewed commitment to promoting peace, justice, and community harmony throughout the city’s barangays.
The oath-taking ceremony was also graced by Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Angeles City Director Yvette R. Cosio, who showed her full support for the federation and emphasized the vital role of Lupon Tagapamayapa in conflict resolution at the grassroots level.
The newly inducted officers of the ACLTF are: Eduardo R. Tolentino Jr. of Barangay Pampang as President; Jesus L. Pacheco Jr. of Barangay Mining as Vice President; Jessie Rose M. Notarte of Barangay Ninoy Aquino as Secretary; Maria Remedios P. Aquino of Barangay Margot as Treasurer; and Danilo B. Domingo of Barangay C.M. Recto as Auditor. These leaders were elected to uphold the integrity and effectiveness of the Katarungang Pambarangay system in Angeles City.
Also taking on key roles as members of the Board of Directors are Elmer R. Garcia (Balibago), Jerry C. Yanes (Capaya), Fernando M. Lazaro (San Nicolas), and Rosino G. Pantig (Malabañias). Their collective leadership brings representation from various barangays, ensuring city-wide collaboration and support in promoting peace and order.
Mayor Lazatin expressed his full confidence in the newly installed federation officers. In his message, he underscored the importance of their role in maintaining harmony and addressing conflicts at the community level without needing to escalate to the courts. “Ang tunay na kapayapaan ay nagsisimula sa barangay,” he stated.
Director Cosio echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that Lupon members are peacebuilders and problem solvers who carry the responsibility of resolving disputes fairly, impartially, and swiftly. She encouraged the officers to uphold their duties with dedication, transparency, and compassion for their constituents.
The ceremony concluded with a call for unity and cooperation. As the new ACLTF officers step into their roles, the city looks forward to stronger barangay justice systems and enhanced efforts in promoting peace and order for every Angeleño.
