Angeles City — In a move to enhance police response and operational efficiency, Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II officially turned over around 50 GPS trackers to the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO). The GPS devices will be installed on all mobile patrol vehicles to boost monitoring and service delivery.
The turnover ceremony was led by Mayor Lazatin and received by ACPO City Director Col. Joselito Villarosa, Jr. The installation of these GPS trackers aims to improve the tracking of police patrol routes and ensure quicker response times during emergencies.
The GPS system will provide real-time data about each vehicle’s location, operational status (whether the engine is on or off), and fuel consumption. This technology helps optimize patrol routes, conserve resources, and maintain transparency in police operations.
Col. Villarosa expressed his gratitude to the local government for their continuous support, highlighting how these upgrades will contribute to safer communities and more efficient law enforcement.
With enhanced vehicle monitoring, the police force can better coordinate their efforts, track incidents, and deploy personnel more effectively throughout Angeles City. This initiative reflects the city’s commitment to modernizing public safety measures.
Mayor Lazatin reiterated the importance of technology in improving government services and encouraged the police to maximize the benefits of this new system for the welfare of Angeleños.
Together, with strengthened partnership and modern tools, Angeles City is moving toward a safer and more progressive future for all its residents.
