Angeles City, Pampanga — The Angeles City Veterinary Office has officially received a Certificate of Compliance from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Professional Regulatory Board of Veterinary Medicine. This recognition comes after the office successfully passed inspection and monitoring procedures, affirming its adherence to national veterinary standards.
The certificate, issued on May 26, 2025, confirms the office’s full compliance with Republic Act No. 9268, also known as the “Philippine Veterinary Medicine Act of 2004.” This legislation sets the professional standards for veterinary practice in the country, ensuring that all veterinary offices and professionals operate with integrity, competence, and accountability.
Dr. Mario B. Samson and Dr. Christian Xyric Arcilla, both representing the Angeles City Veterinary Office, personally received the certificate during the official handover ceremony. The certification is valid for three years, further solidifying the office’s role as a trusted provider of veterinary services within the city.
Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II praised the veterinary office for its dedication to maintaining quality services. He also commended the team for ensuring the welfare of both domesticated and stray animals in the city through regular vaccination drives, spay and neuter programs, and community outreach.
The PRC’s recognition serves as a benchmark of excellence, reflecting the city’s efforts to professionalize and improve its public health services. It also reinforces public trust in the veterinary office’s ability to manage animal welfare, disease prevention, and zoonotic disease control.
This achievement is part of the city’s broader mission to uphold high standards in all sectors of public service. With a compliant and capable veterinary office, Angeles City is better positioned to support both pet owners and the general public in maintaining a healthy and humane environment for animals.
Looking ahead, the veterinary office plans to expand its services, including mobile veterinary clinics and more extensive vaccination campaigns. The PRC certification ensures that the office will continue to operate under the highest professional standards in the years to come.
