Angeles City, Pampanga — In its recent Regular Session held at Systems Plus College Foundation, the Angeles City Council tackled pressing community issues, including a wave of complaints regarding the services of PrimeWater. Representatives from PrimeWater, Angeles City Water District (ACWD), barangay officials, and homeowners’ associations were invited to serve as resource persons and provide clarifications.
The council opened the floor to grievances from residents, centering around poor water quality, irregular supply, and delayed responses to service concerns. Councilors emphasized the need for transparency, accountability, and improved communication between PrimeWater and the communities it serves.
Alongside the discussion on water services, the council also passed Resolution No. 11860, recognizing PCol. Joselito E. Villarosa Jr., City Director of the Angeles City Police Office, for ranking Top 1 in the Provincial and City Director Course. Council members lauded his exemplary performance and dedication to public service, emphasizing that such recognition brings pride to the city.
In infrastructure matters, the council approved a resolution urging the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to closely coordinate all ongoing and future infrastructure projects with the Angeles City Engineer’s Office. The goal is to avoid redundant efforts, enhance project efficiency, and minimize disruption to city residents.
Accreditation applications from various civil society organizations (CSOs) were also deliberated upon, reinforcing the city’s commitment to inclusive governance and civic participation. The council aims to strengthen partnerships with non-government groups to broaden the impact of local development efforts.
Additionally, Resolution PR-3208-08-25 was passed to formally express condolences to the family of the late former Barangay Captain Rodolfo T. Mamac Sr. A respected community leader, Mamac was recognized for his decades of unwavering service to the public, leaving behind a legacy of grassroots leadership.
With a wide range of issues addressed, from utility service accountability to civic recognitions and inter-agency coordination, the Angeles City Council reaffirmed its role as a responsive and proactive legislative body working for the welfare of all Angeleños.
