The Metro Angeles Real Estate Board (MAREB) recently paid a courtesy visit to Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II to discuss current trends, updates, and future plans concerning property development in the city. The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration between the local government and the real estate sector in addressing the city’s urban growth.
Held at the Mayor’s Office, the dialogue focused on how the local real estate industry can work hand in hand with the city government to promote responsible development, improve zoning policies, and ensure sustainable infrastructure. MAREB representatives shared their insights on market trends, including the rising demand for mixed-use developments and the importance of green spaces.
Mayor Lazatin warmly welcomed the board and expressed his administration’s openness to partnerships that would benefit both investors and residents. He emphasized the importance of balancing progress with community welfare, especially as Angeles City continues to experience rapid growth in both residential and commercial sectors.
The MAREB delegation highlighted key concerns such as traffic management in fast-developing zones, the need for updated building regulations, and ways to attract more local and foreign investors through streamlined business processes. They also proposed regular dialogues with the city’s planning and engineering offices for more proactive coordination.
In response, Mayor Lazatin assured the board of the city’s commitment to creating a pro-business environment while upholding urban sustainability. He welcomed the suggestions and encouraged MAREB to take part in public consultations, especially in the drafting of land use and development plans.
The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to explore collaborative programs such as real estate forums, investment summits, and community outreach activities that promote property education and responsible ownership.
Through engagements like this, the city government and MAREB aim to foster a more dynamic, inclusive, and future-ready real estate landscape in Angeles City — one that supports growth while preserving the quality of life for its people.
