ANGELES CITY — The City of Angeles officially launched Fiestang Kuliat 2025 with the traditional celebration of the Feast of the Guardian Angel, held at the historic Pisamban Maragul (Holy Rosary Parish Church) in Barangay Sto. Rosario. The ceremony, marked by a solemn Mass and a sacred procession, signaled the beginning of the city’s much-anticipated month-long cultural and religious festival.
Considered a vital part of the Fiestang Kuliat celebration, the Feast of the Guardian Angel honors the heavenly protector believed to watch over individuals, families, and the broader community. Church leaders spoke of the importance of divine guidance in daily life, and the feast served as a reflective and spiritual start to the festivities.
Fiestang Kuliat has become a symbol of unity, gratitude, and resilience among Angeleños. The festival showcases Angeles City’s rich heritage through a series of events that blend faith, culture, and local traditions. These include religious processions, culinary showcases, parades, musical performances, and nightly entertainment designed to bring the community together.
This year’s opening event saw a diverse crowd—students, daycare pupils, locals, balikbayans, and tourists—gather in celebration and reverence. The event once again demonstrated how the festival acts as a bridge between generations, preserving time-honored Filipino Catholic practices while embracing modern expressions of joy and identity.
Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, in his message, emphasized how Fiestang Kuliat plays a key role in supporting local tourism, energizing the economy, and highlighting small businesses. “More than just a festival, Fiestang Kuliat is a celebration of who we are. It strengthens our bonds as Angeleños and reminds us of the values we hold dear,” he said.
The Angeles City Tourism Office (ACTO), in coordination with the City Information Office, has released the full Calendar of Events for Fiestang Kuliat 2025, inviting both residents and guests to take part in the festivities. ACTO urged everyone to join the celebration with a spirit of faith, unity, and joy.
As one of Central Luzon’s most beloved festivals, Fiestang Kuliat continues to serve as a beacon of heritage and hospitality. Through this vibrant and meaningful tradition, Angeles City not only honors its past but also opens its arms to the future — welcoming all with faith, culture, and community spirit.
