Pulung Maragul, Angeles City — Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II reaffirmed his commitment to public safety and peace and order through a strengthened partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP) during the recent courtesy visit of PBGEN Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., the new Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3).
PBGEN Peñones Jr., accompanied by Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) Director PCOL Joselito Villarosa Jr., was warmly received by Mayor Lazatin at the City Hall. The visit served as an opportunity to deepen coordination between the local government and the regional police leadership, emphasizing joint efforts in crime prevention and community safety.
As part of the visit, Mayor Lazatin personally led a tour of the Angeles City Command Center, a state-of-the-art facility that plays a central role in maintaining public order. The Command Center features cutting-edge surveillance systems, live monitoring tools, and emergency response technology, demonstrating the city’s commitment to leveraging modern solutions for public safety.
During the walkthrough, Mayor Lazatin highlighted how the city continuously invests in upgraded technologies, expanded training for personnel, and additional resources to support law enforcement operations. He stressed that these improvements not only aid in crime deterrence but also contribute to faster and more effective responses to emergencies.
The meeting also served as a platform for aligning future strategies between the LGU and police leadership. Mayor Lazatin underscored the value of sustained collaboration between the Angeles City Government, PRO3, and ACPO, particularly in boosting safe tourism and ensuring the security of both residents and visitors.
