The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) led the response to provide essential support to the impacted community.
A total of 20 families and 2 solo-living individuals, amounting to 94 residents, were assisted through the emergency operation. The city’s quick action ensured that those whose homes and routines were disrupted by the heavy rains received immediate help. Relief operations were conducted in close coordination with barangay officials.
Based on the CSWDO’s breakdown, the affected population included 16 male adults, 17 female adults, 3 male seniors, 2 female seniors, 17 male minors, 25 female minors, 10 male youth, 2 female youth, and 2 male solo-living individuals. The diverse composition of those impacted emphasized the importance of a carefully planned, inclusive relief effort.
Essential food packs and basic non-food supplies were distributed to address the urgent needs of the residents. Special focus was given to vulnerable sectors such as children, senior citizens, and youth, ensuring they were given proper attention and care during the relief operations.
CSWDO personnel, along with barangay volunteers, conducted house-to-house visits and coordinated directly with the recipients to avoid duplication and ensure equitable distribution. The seamless coordination between the local government and barangay officials played a vital role in the operation’s success.
Mayor Jon Lazatin commended the swift efforts of the CSWDO and the barangay council for their continued vigilance and compassion. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to being consistently present in times of need, especially for families facing unexpected crises due to natural events.
The Angeles City Government also reminded residents to remain alert during the ongoing rainy season and to report any flooding or storm-related incidents to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) for immediate response and support.
