Angeles City, November 3, 2025 – Residents of Angeles City had the chance to buy fresh, locally made products at today’s Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita market, held at the City Hall Grounds. The program, personally visited by Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, highlighted the city’s thriving local agriculture and food industries.
The market showcased a wide range of Angeleño products, from freshly cooked palabok and traditional kakanin to empanadas, fresh fruits and vegetables, coffee, and local street foods. Shoppers were treated to an assortment of affordable, homegrown goods, celebrating the city’s unique flavors and talents.
Organized by the Angeles City Economic Development Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO) together with the City Agriculture Office, the monthly program aims to strengthen local livelihoods while ensuring food accessibility for all residents.
Mayor Lazatin emphasized the importance of supporting local farmers and entrepreneurs. “By buying local, we not only enjoy fresh and quality products but also empower our hardworking Angeleños who put their heart into every product,” he said.
The event also provided an opportunity for farmers and small business owners to directly interact with the public, share their stories, and expand their customer base. Many vendors expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting that it boosts both sales and visibility for their products.
In addition to food items, the market promoted locally made crafts and artisanal goods, giving attendees a glimpse of the city’s diverse and creative economy. The festive atmosphere encouraged community members to explore, taste, and support local businesses.
