Angeles City has earned national recognition after receiving the Silver Seal of Protection from the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) during the Pagpupugay sa mga Kaagapay ng GSIS – 2025 Seal of Protection Awarding Ceremony held on November 20, 2025, at the Iloilo Convention Center. The award highlights the city’s strong commitment to safeguarding public assets and ensuring government resources are managed responsibly.
The prestigious seal acknowledges the city government’s effective implementation of safety protocols, compliance with GSIS standards, and consistent efforts to protect government-owned properties. Angeles City stood out among local government units for maintaining systems that reduce risks and promote long-term security of public resources.
Under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” B. Lazatin II, the city has continued to prioritize asset protection and emergency preparedness. This recognition reinforces the administration’s dedication to maintaining a city government that is both resilient and accountable in handling its assets.
Mayor Lazatin expressed gratitude for the award, noting that it reflects the hard work of various offices and personnel who ensure that public properties are well-documented, insured, and safeguarded. During the ceremony, GSIS also presented a Plaque of Appreciation to May Musni for their valuable support in helping the agency carry out its mandate of insuring government assets and other insurable interests.
