Angeles City has once again earned distinction in Central Luzon as it received the 2025 Subaybayani LGU Exemplary Award. Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II accepted the national recognition on behalf of the city at The Manila Hotel, Manila, on November 26, 2025. The award honors local governments that excel in project monitoring, transparency, and public service delivery.
The Subaybayani Awards, given by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) through the Office of Project Development Services (OPDS), recognize LGUs that effectively use the SubayBayan digital monitoring system. This system ensures that government projects are properly tracked, documented, and executed for the benefit of the local community.
Representing the Highly Urbanized Cities category, Angeles City was lauded for its organized, proactive, and citizen-focused project monitoring. The award reflects the local government’s dedication to efficient and accountable governance under Mayor Jon Lazatin’s leadership.
Mayor Lazatin emphasized that the recognition belongs to the entire city.
