The Angeles City Government has launched its series of briefings on Laws/Ordinances, Rules, and Regulations (LORRs) to ensure a more efficient and transparent business permit processing system starting January 2026. Led by Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin Jr., the initiative gathered representatives from the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Angeles City Chapter, ACPACI–Central Luzon, and ACPAPP–Central Luzon.
This initiative is part of the city’s Revenue Enhancement and Accountability Program (REAP), which reinforces transparency, accountability, and participatory governance in all administrative procedures. By strengthening awareness of regulatory compliance, the city aims to simplify the processing of new, renewal, and retirement of business permits and licenses.
The Business Permits and Licensing Division (BPLD), City Administrator’s Office, City Treasurer’s Office, Rural Health Office–Environmental Health Service, and the City Information Office are among the key offices spearheading the program. They are supported by the Quality Management System (QMS) team to guarantee that all guidelines are clearly communicated and effectively enforced.
According to the LGU, the unified efforts of these departments will help ensure that business owners are well-informed about updated requirements and processes. This approach also underscores the administration’s commitment to maintaining streamlined and service-oriented public operations.
The next round of briefings is scheduled for December 3 at 9:30 AM at the Command Center Conference Room, where groups such as MACCI, AFCCI, AmCham North Luzon, CREBA, HARP, ATTAP, MAREB, and other business representatives are expected to participate.
Another session will follow on December 4, also at 9:30 AM, for organizations including CILA, ACAMASE, the Mobile Pampanga Market Association, SAFE, and other local business groups. These engagements aim to extend regulatory awareness to a wider network of entrepreneurs across the city.
With these continuous briefings, the Angeles City Government strengthens public trust, promotes responsible business practices, and ensures that its regulatory systems remain orderly, efficient, and supportive of the city’s growing business community.
