The Angeles City Local Government Unit (LGU), led by Mayor Jon Lazatin, has strengthened its preparations for the upcoming improvements in business permit processing by holding a Compliance with Laws/Ordinances, Rules, and Regulations (LORR) briefing on December 3, 2025. This initiative supports the city’s goal of delivering faster, clearer, and more accountable services for applicants starting January 2026.
The briefing is part of the LGU’s broader effort to refine procedures for business permit applications, including new registrations, renewals, and retirements. By introducing streamlined guidelines, the city aims to provide a more efficient and transparent system that benefits business owners and supports long-term growth.
Key city offices joined the session, including the City Administrator’s Office, City Treasurer’s Office, Business Permits and Licensing Division (BPLD), Rural Health Office – Environmental Health Service, Project Development Office, Quality Management System (QMS) Office, and the City Information Office. Their involvement ensures that all regulatory requirements are harmonized across departments.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) also took part, reinforcing the importance of integrating fire safety protocols into the updated guidelines. This collaboration helps ensure that public safety remains a central component of business compliance.
A wide range of business organizations and sectoral groups participated in the December 3 activity. Groups such as ACAMASE, AFCCI, AmCham Northern Luzon, ATTAP, CILA, CREBA, HARP, MAREB, MACCI, and PICPA–Angeles City Chapter, together with other private stakeholders, demonstrated the community’s strong interest in active engagement and collective governance.
During the briefing, the LGU emphasized the need for clear processes, coordinated efforts among offices, and strengthened compliance measures. These elements aim to promote responsible business practices and improve the overall regulatory environment in Angeles City.
The event highlighted the city’s commitment to maintaining organized systems, building trust between the government and the business sector, and continuously improving the ease of doing business. With sustained collaboration, Angeles City is well-positioned to implement the enhanced guidelines smoothly and support a resilient local economy.
