ANGELES CITY — The Angeles City Government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, conducted a successful Buntis Party at the Puso Center in Barangay Lourdes Sur East. Organized by the City Health Office – Medical Team, the event catered to pregnant women in the city, promoting health awareness and maternal care.
The activity served as both a celebration and an educational outreach, focusing on the health and well-being of expectant mothers. Through engaging lectures and interactive discussions, the participants received valuable information on proper nutrition during pregnancy, safe pregnancy practices, and the importance of prenatal checkups.
One of the key topics discussed during the event was maternal nutrition, highlighting the essential vitamins, minerals, and dietary practices that support a healthy pregnancy. Healthcare professionals emphasized how proper nourishment can directly affect both maternal health and fetal development.
Another important segment focused on safe motherhood and the identification of danger signs during pregnancy, such as high blood pressure, unusual bleeding, or severe headaches. These discussions aimed to help mothers recognize potential complications early and seek timely medical intervention.
The Buntis Party is part of the city’s continuing efforts to improve maternal and child health outcomes. By empowering pregnant women with knowledge, the city hopes to reduce risks during childbirth and ensure the health and safety of both mothers and their babies.
Participants also received prenatal kits and were given the opportunity to consult with medical professionals for personalized guidance. The interactive format of the event encouraged open communication, allowing mothers to ask questions and share their experiences.
The City Health Office reaffirmed its commitment to maternal health programs, with plans to expand similar activities to more barangays. Through initiatives like the Buntis Party, the Angeles LGU continues to prioritize accessible and quality healthcare for every Angeleño family.
