In a meaningful step toward holistic development, the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) held a spiritual renewal retreat for its personnel on August 16, 2025. The event took place at the Boy Scout Building in Barangay Sto. Domingo and was organized in partnership with the Christ Commissioned Fellowship (CCF).
Dubbed the TRUE Life Retreat, the activity began at 8:00 a.m. and brought together police officers for a day of reflection, spiritual growth, and value re-alignment. The retreat was spearheaded by ACPO City Director, Police Colonel Joselito E. Villarosa Jr., who emphasized the importance of moral and spiritual strength in law enforcement.
Facilitators from CCF led the sessions, focusing on key principles such as integrity, discipline, and service. These values were anchored in a spiritual context, encouraging officers to find deeper meaning and purpose in their daily responsibilities.
Organizers noted that the retreat was not only a pause from the pressures of duty, but also a chance for attendees to reconnect with their core beliefs. Participants engaged in guided reflections and group activities designed to foster inner peace, clarity, and a renewed sense of mission.
ACPO leadership believes that spiritually grounded officers are more likely to uphold professionalism and demonstrate ethical behavior in the field. They stressed that the well-being of their personnel goes beyond physical readiness, encompassing emotional and moral resilience as well.
The success of the retreat reflects the fruitful collaboration between the police force and community faith groups. ACPO expressed its gratitude to CCF for providing the guidance and tools necessary for personal renewal and growth.
Looking ahead, the ACPO plans to hold similar initiatives regularly as part of their commitment to nurturing ethical leadership and responsible service. Such efforts highlight the city’s broader vision of a police force that serves with both strength and heart.
