To promote spiritual growth and reinforce core values in law enforcement, members of the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) participated in a TRUE Life Retreat held at the Boy Scout Building in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Angeles City. The retreat was conducted in collaboration with the Christ Commissioned Fellowship (CCF) and led by ACPO City Director, Police Colonel Joselito E. Villarosa Jr.
The retreat served as a time of spiritual reflection and renewal for the participants, providing them with space to reconnect with their faith amid the daily challenges of police work. The initiative highlights the ACPO’s commitment to supporting not just the physical readiness of officers, but also their moral and emotional well-being.
Facilitators from CCF guided the officers through various sessions focused on key values such as integrity, discipline, and service. These discussions were anchored in biblical teachings, encouraging participants to align their public duties with a deep sense of personal conviction and spiritual strength.
According to organizers, the activity was more than just a break from routine—it was an opportunity for transformation. By grounding their professional responsibilities in faith, the officers are expected to demonstrate heightened compassion, ethical behavior, and leadership in their roles.
ACPO leadership emphasized that reinforcing these inner values leads to improved public service. “Kapag matatag ang paninindigan at pananampalataya ng isang pulis, mas nagiging mahusay siya sa pagtupad ng kanyang tungkulin,” one official said during the event.
The partnership with CCF was highly appreciated, with both groups expressing hope that this marks the beginning of more faith-based initiatives within the police force. Plans are underway to conduct more retreats in the future, aiming to build a culture of spiritually grounded leadership within ACPO.
This initiative reflects a broader understanding that public service is most effective when rooted in purpose and guided by values. With renewed spirits, the participants are expected to carry forward the lessons learned into their everyday service to the people of Angeles City.
