In its continued effort to extend care to vulnerable sectors, the Angeles City Government, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), recently carried out another roving outreach operation — this time in Barangay Sto. Rosario.
The operation focused on areas where individuals in need often congregate, including Jenra Mall, Nepo Mall, Nepo Mart area, and the vicinity of the Holy Rosary Parish. These locations were strategically chosen to maximize contact with those who might require assistance.
During the outreach, a total of nine individuals were reached. Among them were four minors (one female, three males), two adults (one female, one male), and three senior citizens (two females, one male). Each case was assessed to determine the appropriate course of action.
One minor was referred to the Kanlungan ng Kabataan Reformation Center for further support and rehabilitation. The remaining eight individuals were issued a first-warning notice, part of the city’s early intervention system to provide guidance and prevent further vulnerability.
This initiative reflects the city government’s proactive approach to social welfare, emphasizing both compassion and accountability. Rather than waiting for issues to escalate, the CSWDO brings services directly to the people who need them most.
CSWDO assured that similar outreach efforts will continue in other barangays across Angeles City. These operations serve not only to provide immediate help but also to educate and connect individuals with the city’s available social services.
Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting at-risk populations, noting that Angeles City will always take steps to ensure that no resident is left behind when it comes to care and support.
