ANGELES CITY, Pampanga — On June 19, 2025, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, representing Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., warmly welcomed participants of the Training of Trainers (ToT) for Infrastructure Audit at the Mayor’s Office Conference Room.
The ToT program is part of a regional initiative involving selected engineers from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Offices, Local Government Units (LGUs), Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) offering engineering programs, and professional organizations such as the Philippines Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) and the Association of Structural Engineers of the Philippines (ASEP).
This two-day training, held at Widus Hotel until June 20, 2025, aims to equip a pool of highly skilled engineers who will serve as facilitators and technical experts. These trainers will then cascade Infrastructure Audit knowledge and methodologies to LGUs across the region.
By enhancing the technical expertise of these engineers, the program seeks to improve the quality and efficiency of infrastructure assessments, ensuring projects meet standards and contribute to safer and more sustainable community development.
City Engineer’s Officer-in-Charge Helen Ayro was also present during the welcome, underscoring the local government’s support for initiatives that build technical capacity in public infrastructure management.
This event reflects Angeles City’s commitment to fostering professional development and collaboration among government agencies, academic institutions, and industry groups to strengthen public infrastructure governance.
Mayor Lazatin’s administration continues to prioritize capacity-building programs that empower local engineers and promote best practices in infrastructure audit and management for the benefit of communities in the region.
