Angeles City — The Angeles City Police Office (ACPO), under the leadership of City Director PCol Joselito Villarosa Jr., demonstrated outstanding rapid response times during a recent simulation exercise held at the city’s command center. The event was witnessed by Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II and other local officials.
The drill, known as the Response Time Simulation Exercise (SIMEX), featured two separate tests where police officers responded to mock emergency reports. The recorded response times were remarkably quick — 2 minutes and 48 seconds in the first simulation, and just 1 minute and 22 seconds in the second.
Mayor Jon Lazatin expressed his commendation for the ACPO’s efficiency, highlighting that such promptness is vital for maintaining peace and order in Angeles City. “Every second counts in emergencies, and our police force has shown they are ready to act swiftly when it matters most,” he said.
This exercise serves as part of the city’s ongoing commitment to enhancing public safety by improving police readiness and ensuring immediate action upon receiving reports of incidents. Quick response times increase the chances of preventing crime escalation and protecting residents effectively.
Vice Mayor Amos Rivera, along with Councilors JC Parker-Aguas, Ron Pineda, Jeselle Dayrit, Alex Indiongco, Maricel Morales, and Niknok Bañola, also attended the event, lending support to the police force and underscoring the city government’s collaborative approach to security.
The ACPO’s performance in the SIMEX reinforces Angeles City’s goal to be a safe community where residents can rely on fast and efficient law enforcement. It also sets a benchmark for future drills and real-life responses.
As part of ongoing efforts, the city plans to continue conducting similar exercises to further sharpen the skills of emergency responders and sustain the high standards of service expected by its citizens.
