Angeles City — Another proud moment for Angeles City as Team Pampanga, in collaboration with the Angeles City Cooperative Development Council (ACCDC), was crowned Champion in the Larong Lahi competition during the 12th Regional Kooplympics held in Malolos, Bulacan on October 18, 2025. The victory highlighted the city’s strong cooperative spirit, teamwork, and passion for excellence.
The Larong Lahi, one of the most anticipated events of the Kooplympics, celebrates traditional Filipino games that embody unity, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. Team Pampanga’s outstanding performance and coordination led them to secure the top spot, bringing honor and pride to the entire region.
Adding to the city’s achievements, the Local Cooperative Development Office (LCDO) and its Local Cooperative Development Officer received a Certificate of Recognition as Region III’s official nominee for the CDA Gawad Parangal 2025 under the CDO Independent Component City Category. This recognition underscores the city’s commitment to strengthening and empowering local cooperatives.
The CDA Gawad Parangal is one of the highest honors given by the Cooperative Development Authority, recognizing exceptional performance, good governance, and impactful community initiatives within the cooperative movement. Angeles City’s nomination reflects its consistent dedication to cooperative growth and people-centered development.
Under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, the city continues to champion initiatives that uplift cooperatives and foster collaboration among various sectors.
