Angeles City, Pampanga — The Angeles City Police Office (ACPO), in partnership with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), recently carried out a coordinated outreach activity to protect children and families living in street situations. The initiative aimed to provide aid while ensuring public safety during the program’s implementation across key barangays.
In response to CSWDO’s request for assistance, the ACPO deployed personnel from its Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) to safeguard both the social workers and beneficiaries during the roving operation. Their presence helped ensure that the outreach was conducted peacefully and without disruption.
The operation covered several areas where families and children in need are often seen, including Barangays Cutud, Balibago, and Cutcut. Police officers accompanied the CSWDO team, offering logistical and security support to create a safe environment for all involved.
Throughout the operation, authorities reported positive community interaction and no incidents that compromised safety or order. The collaborative effort between social workers and police officers demonstrated effective coordination and mutual commitment to public welfare.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy to provide immediate assistance to vulnerable sectors of society while maintaining peace and order. The Angeles City government continues to strengthen partnerships between law enforcement and social agencies to better serve those in need.
Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II praised the joint effort and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining these types of operations. “We are determined to protect our most vulnerable citizens—especially children—and this is just one of many steps we’re taking to ensure their safety and dignity,” the mayor said.
The success of this outreach operation reinforces Angeles City’s mission to deliver inclusive social services while upholding security and human dignity. It reflects a growing synergy between local government units and law enforcement in responding compassionately and effectively to community needs.
