ANGELES CITY — The City Government of Angeles, through the City Health Office, continues to roll out its “Buntis Party” program across local barangays, aiming to empower pregnant women with essential knowledge and support for safe pregnancy and childbirth. The initiative recently reached the communities of Anunas, Cuayan, Pulung Cacutud, and Cutud.
The “Buntis Party” is a health and education campaign designed to promote maternal and child wellness by equipping expectant mothers with proper guidance on prenatal care, safe pregnancy practices, and newborn care. This ongoing program underscores the city’s commitment to building healthier families and reducing maternal and infant health risks.
During the barangay visits, healthcare professionals conducted talks on proper nutrition, danger signs during pregnancy, and birth preparedness. Pregnant attendees also received educational materials and participated in interactive sessions designed to deepen their understanding of pregnancy and childcare.
City health workers emphasized the importance of regular prenatal checkups and maintaining a nutritious diet throughout pregnancy. They also shared information about government programs that support maternal care, such as free checkups and access to birthing clinics.
The activity also served as a platform for bonding and mutual support among pregnant women in the community. It provided a safe and welcoming space for them to ask questions, share experiences, and feel reassured through the presence of knowledgeable healthcare providers.
Local barangay officials assisted in organizing the events, helping identify participants and ensuring a smooth flow of activities. Their support demonstrated the strong collaboration between the LGU and grassroots leaders in promoting community health.
The Angeles City Government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, continues to strengthen its public health campaigns through proactive outreach efforts like the “Buntis Party.” With the help of the City Health Office, the program hopes to reach more barangays in the coming weeks, ensuring that every Angeleña mother receives the care, information, and encouragement she needs for a healthy pregnancy journey.
