In preparation for the upcoming elections, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has begun closely monitoring the deployment of Automated Counting Machines (ACMs) to 38 designated voting centers. The process is being overseen at the local COMELEC office to ensure timely and secure delivery of the machines.
The office is currently operating in full force, with staff and election officers working together to track the movement of each ACM unit. A real-time monitoring system has been activated, allowing personnel to receive updates as the machines are transported to their respective destinations.
COMELEC officials emphasized that the deployment is crucial to guaranteeing the integrity and efficiency of the voting process. Each ACM is carefully accounted for and accompanied by technical staff to handle logistics and ensure that equipment arrives safely and operational.
According to local election supervisors, coordination with law enforcement agencies has also been heightened to secure the delivery routes. Police escorts accompany the transport teams to prevent any delays or security issues during the delivery phase.
All 38 voting centers are scheduled to receive their ACMs ahead of time, allowing sufficient time for testing and setup before election day. The COMELEC office assures the public that preparations are on track and that all necessary precautions are being taken.
Staff on the ground are conducting inspections as each machine arrives to verify serial numbers, assess functionality, and ensure no tampering has occurred. COMELEC further stated that any issues detected during this stage will be immediately addressed.
The successful and transparent deployment of the ACMs is a key component of COMELEC’s commitment to credible and fair elections. With active monitoring and full cooperation from stakeholders, the commission aims to complete the distribution smoothly and on schedule.
