The Cultural Night of Fiestang Kuliat 2025 brought life and color to Plaza Anghel, as Angeleños gathered to celebrate the city’s rich heritage through music, dance, and art. The evening was a vivid showcase of Angeles City’s enduring spirit—one that thrives on unity, creativity, and cultural pride.
Spectators were treated to a diverse array of performances representing the vibrant cultures of the Philippines. From the rhythmic movements of the Cordillera highlands to the dynamic beats of Mindanao and the lively folk traditions of rural barrios, each presentation reflected the festival’s theme, “Experience, Live, Love Angeles City.” The celebration highlighted the city’s commitment to honoring both local and national identities through shared artistic expression.
Rooted in the city’s powerful history, Fiestang Kuliat serves as a symbol of resilience and rebirth, especially recalling the difficult years following the Mount Pinatubo eruption. What was once a period of loss and rebuilding has transformed into a celebration of hope and progress. Today, the festival stands as a testament to the strength and unity of the Kapampángan people.
Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin Jr. led the festivities with heartfelt gratitude toward the performing groups and schools that made the event a success. He praised the City College of Angeles, Holy Angel University, Republic Central Colleges, Angeles City National Trade School, Angeles City National High School, Francisco G. Nepomuceno Memorial High School, Systems Plus College Foundation, Anak Bale-Balayan, and Sinukwan Kapampangan for their exceptional performances and dedication to cultural preservation.
In his message, Mayor Lazatin underscored the importance of passing on cultural traditions to future generations. He noted that continuous support for local artists and cultural organizations plays a crucial role in strengthening the city’s sense of identity and pride. “Our culture defines who we are as Angeleños,” he said. “It connects us to our past while inspiring us to build a stronger future.”
The night’s energy resonated across Plaza Anghel as music and dance united people from all walks of life. Every beat, song, and movement reflected the heart of Angeles City—resilient, joyful, and full of life. The celebration was not only a tribute to heritage but also a reaffirmation of the community’s shared love for its city.
As the lights dimmed and the applause echoed, Fiestang Kuliat 2025’s Cultural Night stood as a glowing reminder that Angeles City continues to live, love, and thrive through its Kapampángan roots—a proud community that celebrates both its past and its promising future.
