ANGELES CITY — Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Randy B. Escolango paid a courtesy visit to Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, as both officials discussed plans to strengthen local health programs and expand healthcare services for Angeleños.
The meeting, held at the Mayor’s Office, highlighted the shared goal of enhancing public health delivery in the city. Mayor Lazatin warmly welcomed the DOH official, affirming the city’s full commitment to partnering with the national government in sustaining accessible and quality healthcare.
Undersecretary Escolango commended Angeles City’s efforts in maintaining effective health programs at the grassroots level. He cited the city’s vaccination drives, community health centers, and wellness initiatives as models of proactive governance in public health.
During the dialogue, both sides explored potential collaborations aimed at boosting healthcare access, improving facility upgrades, and addressing specific community health concerns.
