ANGELES CITY — The rich tapestry of Kapampangan culinary heritage was proudly showcased at this year’s Pamangan Fiestang Kapampangan 2025, a signature fundraising gala organized annually by the Kuliat Foundation, Inc. as part of the city’s Fiestang Kuliat festivities every October.
Held at the historic Museo Ning Angeles, the event offered guests more than a meal—it served a feast of memory, tradition, and identity. Bathed in natural light, the museum became a vibrant gathering place for culinary icons, food artisans, and proud Angeleños, all brought together to celebrate one of Pampanga’s greatest legacies: food.
A remarkable lineup of participating food institutions and local favorites created a culinary showcase that blended tradition with innovation. Among those who served their best dishes were Bale Dutung, Mila’s Tokwa’t Baboy, Susie’s Cuisine, Carreon’s, Aling Lucing’s, Tollhouse, Perfect Loaf, and Dainty Restaurant, along with emerging names like Mizulu and KCafé—all offering their takes on classic Kapampangan dishes.
Each station told a story: from time-honored recipes lovingly preserved by generations, to modern reinterpretations that respected the soul of Kapampangan cooking. The diversity of flavors—from savory sisig to sweet tibok-tibok—captured the heart and soul of the region’s identity as the “Culinary Capital of the Philippines.”
Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, through the City Tourism Office, has been a staunch supporter of Pamangan, recognizing its vital role in preserving and promoting the city’s cultural and culinary heritage. The mayor emphasized that beyond showcasing food, the event empowers local artisans, businesses, and students by giving them a platform to grow and connect.
Guests—ranging from city officials and culture advocates to tourists and food lovers—expressed admiration not just for the flavors, but for the storytelling embedded in every dish. Many noted how Pamangan has become a meaningful tradition that ties the community together year after year.
With Pamangan Fiestang Kapampangan 2025, Angeles City once again reaffirmed its pride in its roots. Through taste, tradition, and talent, the event highlighted that food is not just sustenance—it is culture, legacy, and a continuing celebration of everything that makes Kapampangans distinct and world-class.
