Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II took part in the Capacitating 4Ps External Partners and Ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing for newly elected officials held at Subic Bay Travelers Hotel on November 17, 2025. The event, led by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), aimed to reinforce cooperation for the continued success of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
During the gathering, DSWD officials emphasized the importance of strong and active partnerships with local government units (LGUs). They underlined that coordinated efforts help ensure that 4Ps families receive the services and support necessary for their growth and welfare.
The event also oriented newly elected leaders on the goals, mechanics, and responsibilities linked to implementing the 4Ps program. Participants were briefed on how LGUs play a vital role in monitoring beneficiary compliance, especially in the areas of health, education, and family development.
One highlight of the discussion was the importance of providing program participants access to essential infrastructure and public services. These include health centers, school facilities, and community support networks that enable families to meet the program’s conditions.
Officials further explained the aftercare services extended to 4Ps beneficiaries, such as livelihood opportunities, scholarship grants, and skills development training. These initiatives help strengthen the capability of families to become self-sufficient and resilient.
Mayor Lazatin reaffirmed Angeles City’s commitment to supporting DSWD and working closely with partner agencies to sustain the benefits of the 4Ps program. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in uplifting vulnerable households and providing pathways to long-term progress.
The ceremonial MOA signing signified renewed dedication from DSWD, local partners, and newly elected leaders. Together, they aim to enhance the development and empowerment of 4Ps families, ensuring they continue to receive the assistance and opportunities needed to improve their quality of life.
