ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. officially opened the newly constructed Puso Center Primary Care Facility in Barangay Anunas, providing residents with accessible, affordable, and comprehensive health services. The inauguration, held just moments before, marks another milestone in the city’s commitment to improving public healthcare infrastructure.
The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with modern amenities tailored to meet the diverse medical needs of the community. It features dedicated consultation and physician rooms, ensuring that patients can receive timely and quality medical attention from licensed healthcare professionals.
One of the highlights of the new Puso Center is its fully functional dental section. Outfitted with dental chairs and the necessary tools, the facility aims to provide free dental services and promote oral health care among residents, particularly children and senior citizens.
In addition to general consultations and dental care, the center houses a laboratory area for basic diagnostic services. This allows patients to undergo common tests and receive results without the need to travel far, minimizing delays in treatment and improving health outcomes.
To support the staff and maintain efficiency, the Puso Center also includes a pantry and storage rooms. These amenities help ensure a comfortable and organized working environment for healthcare providers and administrative personnel.
A key feature of the center is its on-site pharmacy, which offers essential medicines readily available to patients. This ensures that prescriptions can be filled quickly and conveniently, particularly for indigent residents who rely on public health facilities for their medical needs.
Mayor Lazatin emphasized that the opening of the Anunas Puso Center is part of his broader initiative to bring health services closer to the barangay level. “This is not just a building — it’s a symbol of our commitment to care for every Angeleño,” he said, reaffirming that more centers are planned to ensure no community is left behind when it comes to health.
