In a recent oath-taking ceremony for the Angeles City Association of Barangay Ex Officios (ACABEO), Mayor Jon Lazatin underscored the city’s renewed commitment to peace, order, and public safety. The event brought together community leaders who play a vital role in grassroots governance, with a strong focus on collaboration and strategic improvement in law enforcement responsiveness.
Mayor Lazatin emphasized the critical role of Ex-Officio members in maintaining discipline and justice within their respective barangays. He reminded the officials that their position is not only one of representation but of active involvement in safeguarding the well-being of their constituents. “The role of the Ex-O of each barangay is important in maintaining peace, order, and justice in the communities they serve,” he said.
To bolster this effort, Mayor Lazatin revealed plans to establish mini command centers within each police station across Angeles City. These centers are envisioned to improve communication, response time, and coordination during emergencies or unexpected incidents. This strategic addition aims to bridge the gap between barangays and law enforcement, ensuring faster action and better situational monitoring.
The proposal was warmly welcomed by the members of ACABEO, who expressed their gratitude for the Mayor’s continued support of every barangay. They acknowledged that the administration has consistently empowered local leaders through various programs, trainings, and direct assistance, strengthening grassroots capabilities.
Aside from structural developments, the Mayor also called on barangay officials to engage their communities in promoting peace and preventing crime. He believes that peace and order is a shared responsibility and that strong cooperation between the community and authorities is the foundation for a safer Angeles City.
Mayor Lazatin’s message resonated with a clear goal—to create a secure and peaceful environment where every Angeleño can thrive. His leadership continues to push for modern and efficient systems that benefit even the most remote barangays, ensuring no community is left behind in the city’s development journey.
With the active participation of the barangay Ex-Officios and continued LGU support, Angeles City is moving closer toward its vision of being a model city for safety and good governance. As Mayor Lazatin aptly concluded, “Let’s work together and promote the security and order of our city.
