ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. administered the oath of office to the newly elected officers and committee members of the Angeles City Employees Multipurpose Cooperative (ACEMPC) on May 20, 2025, during a formal ceremony held at the Mayor’s Office.
The event marked a renewed chapter of leadership for ACEMPC, a cooperative dedicated to supporting the welfare and financial empowerment of city government employees. Mayor Lazatin expressed his full support for the cooperative’s mission and congratulated the new officers on their commitment to serve their fellow employees.
Among those sworn in were members of the ACEMPC Board of Directors: Edmundo Deocareza, Robert Arceo, Higinio Gopez Jr., Joelito Mandani, Joana Javier, Cornelio Velasquez, and Jocel Sarmiento. Their role will be instrumental in steering the cooperative’s policies and ensuring its sustainable growth.
Also taking their oath were members of the Board of Officers, Maria Luisa Garcia and Rosendo Makabali, along with the Audit Committee composed of Flordeliza Santos and Sara Manusig. These individuals are expected to uphold transparency and accountability in the cooperative’s operations.
The Election Committee members, Mary Louise Kim and Amelia Gonzales, as well as the Education and Training Committee members — Ferdinand Calma, John Montances, and Maria Rosanna Trinidad — were also formally sworn in. Their roles are crucial in ensuring continued learning and democratic processes within the cooperative.
Mayor Lazatin commended ACEMPC for its ongoing service to city employees, highlighting how such institutions play a vital role in promoting financial literacy, offering accessible loans, and creating opportunities for savings and investment among the government workforce.
The mayor reaffirmed his administration’s support for employee-driven initiatives and underscored the value of leadership built on trust, cooperation, and transparency. With the new officers at the helm, ACEMPC is poised to further strengthen its programs and continue its positive impact on the lives of Angeles City’s public servants.
