Angeles City, July 7, 2025 — Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II officially welcomed and inducted the newly formed Angeles City 4Wheelers Club, Inc. (AC4WCI) in a ceremony that highlighted both camaraderie and civic duty. Held at Angeles City Hall, the event marked the club’s formal commitment not just to off-road adventure, but to community service.
The mayor personally administered the oath of membership to the group of off-road driving enthusiasts, applauding their dedication to using their shared passion for positive contributions to the city. “You’re not just drivers and explorers — you’re partners in development,” Lazatin said.
Following their induction, the AC4WCI officers expressed their strong support for Mayor Lazatin’s programs, particularly the city’s upcoming Abacan Clean-Up Drive. The club pledged to mobilize its members and vehicles to assist in the environmental effort, showing that civic responsibility and recreation can go hand in hand.
Mayor Lazatin welcomed their support, stressing the importance of public-private partnerships in environmental preservation. “Every initiative counts, and with the help of groups like yours, we can build a greener and cleaner Angeles City,” he told the members.
The AC4WCI also committed to future volunteer work, including support in rescue operations during calamities, environmental campaigns, and community outreach programs. Their vehicles and skills, they noted, are not only built for trails but also for service in difficult terrain and emergency conditions.
This alliance between the local government and the off-road community adds a dynamic layer to civic involvement. It shows that citizens from all walks of life — even off-road hobbyists — can play an active role in city-building and environmental advocacy.
The ceremony ended on a high note with Mayor Lazatin expressing his gratitude for the club’s initiative and sense of responsibility. As Angeles City continues to promote environmental stewardship and active citizenship, collaborations like these highlight the collective effort needed to drive positive change.
