ANGELES CITY — On April 9, 2025, as the nation commemorated Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor), former PNP Chief and mayoralty candidate Oscar David Albayalde received a significant boost in his campaign when various multi-sectoral organizations gathered to sign a manifesto of support for his candidacy and full slate, collectively known as “The Perfect 10.”
Held in Angeles City, the endorsement marked a turning point in Albayalde’s local campaign, with groups from civic, youth, urban poor, women, senior citizens, health, transport, LGBTQIA+, and cultural sectors pledging their united support for what they described as a leadership anchored on discipline, transparency, and inclusive development.
The manifesto was signed by representatives from prominent organizations including Kiwanis International, Eagles Club, Kilusang Bagong Lipunan, Concerned Citizens for Justice and Peace, Empowered Women of Angeles, MOTDA, Citizens Crime Watch, and Paglingcuran ang Angeles ng Tapat Movement. These groups cited Albayalde’s reputation for strong leadership and anti-crime advocacy as key reasons for their endorsement.
Youth and community-based groups also rallied behind Albayalde, with support coming from Youth for Angeles, Next Gen Youth, Alpha Kappa Rho, Tau Gamma Sigma, and the Albayalde Diehard Supporters. They emphasized their belief in his capacity to create safe and opportunity-rich communities for the younger generation.
Also signing the manifesto were urban and homeowner associations like the Sta. Teresita Urban Poor Association, Villa Belen Homeowners Association, and the Bagong Samahan ng mga Magkakapitbahay ng St. Vincent, expressing confidence in Albayalde’s housing and public service platform.
Inclusion and diversity were key themes of the gathering, with representatives from LGBTQIA+ organizations, including United LGBTQIA+ and the Lesbian Org of Angeles City, voicing their support for what they see as an administration that would respect rights and foster equal opportunities. The Amerasian Association Pampanga Inc. and the Bangsamoro Communities Outside of the BARMM International also signed on, highlighting Albayalde’s outreach to cultural minorities.
Albayalde expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support, saying it reaffirmed his commitment to lead Angeles City with integrity and discipline. “This is not just an endorsement—it’s a call for real change and united progress. Together, we can build an Angeles that’s safe, just, and prosperous for all,” he said during the event.
