Barangay Malabanias, Angeles City — In a collective effort to promote accessible and preventive healthcare, the Angeles City Government launched the Purok Kalusugan program in Barangay Malabanias, led by Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II. The initiative marks another milestone in the city’s ongoing mission to deliver health services directly to communities.
The launch brought together key stakeholders from the Department of Health (DOH), the DOH-HRH program, City Health Office, Barangay Malabanias officials headed by Kapitana Luz Nava, and healthcare partners from AUF-CON. The strong multi-agency support demonstrated a unified commitment to improving grassroots health outcomes for Angeleños.
Mayor Lazatin, who personally attended the event, highlighted the importance of empowering communities to access essential healthcare. He emphasized the city’s commitment to providing proactive health solutions that prioritize early detection, preventive care, and education. The mayor also took time to engage with residents and frontline health workers during the activity.
Kapitana Luz Nava echoed the mayor’s sentiments, expressing pride in her barangay’s active role in promoting health and wellness. She thanked the LGU and all supporting agencies for choosing Malabanias as a key site for the Purok Kalusugan rollout, emphasizing the positive impact it will have on families in the area.
